She has many years of experience working in the area of Women’s and Sexual Health and is accredited with Medicare to provide supportive Pregnancy Counselling.

Chris is also interested in the effect of trauma in a person’s life and how it can challenge their sense of safety and security in the world. Trauma impacts on the capacity to maintain meaningful relationships and undermines the ability to function in daily life. Counselling can provide the safe environment to begin to build trust and a sense of security in order to establish more meaningful interpersonal relationships and develop a wider social network of support.
She offers an individualised approach that integrates traditional “talking therapies” (CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Non Violent Communication) with awareness oriented modalities such as Mindfulness and Focusing, and also creative therapies, such as Sandplay and Art.
